Six people were injured in a car accident on southbound Interstate 81 on Monday.
According to police, the accident occurred as a 58-year-old New York woman was traveling southbound when her vehicle struck the side panel of another vehicle causing it to spin across the highway. The second vehicle, driven by a 49-year-old woman, traveled off the side of the road before coming to a stop on an embankment.
The first vehicle, bounced in between the shoulder and the median before going off the side and hitting an embankment which caused the car to flip and roll twice. Five people in the first vehicle were injured and the driver of the second vehicle was also injured. They were all transported to the hospital with moderate injuries.
